ItemAn evaluation of bonding agents used in concrete bridge reconstruction(University of New Brunswick, 1991) McInnis, Gary; McKim, R.; A., McKimThis senior report evaluates the effect of bonding agents used to bond together the fresh concrete layer to the repaired concrete surface . The bonding Agent evaluated in this report is Sicadur 32 HI-MOD a two part epoxy structural adhesive.lt was evaluated using the ASTM C-2 34 1986 for comparing bond development of concretes, varying only the bonding conditions instead of concrete type. The results of the testing show a marginal increase in bond development with an epoxy bonding agent used for immediate pour ,and when recoated after a 24hr hardening time. Form the results of this report it can be concluded that Bonding agents marginally increase bond development if used under proper conditions , but will decrease the bond development, if applied improperly. ItemComputer cost optimization design(University of New Brunswick, 1991) DeWinter, Durck; McKim, R.; A., McKimThe purpose of this report is to demonstrate the application of a cost optimization program for a prismatic concrete beam in flexure. The main body of the report will provide the reader with general explanation of what the program does and how it accomplishes it. A detailed explanation of the program will be provided in the appendices. The report will introduce a description of the logic used to cost optimize, an example problem, and areas where the program can be improved. ItemThe feasibility of using fiber reinforced concrete as opposed to reinforced concrete in an undeground water storage tank(University of New Brunswick, 1987) Cairns, Michael L.; A., McKim
