Dynamic response of nail laminated vs steel tensioned wooden bridge decks
Mullin, D. (1991). Dynamic response of nail laminated vs steel tensioned wooden bridge decks.
Abstract
Two types of laminated wooden bridge decks were loaded dynamically and evaluated based on shear transfer capability and overall deflection. Dynamic theory and cost were used to develop a criterion for engineers to choose one type over another for given design needs. Of the two types, the steel tensioned type was found preferrable.
