Callaghan, L. (1992). An infiltration study of the Charlottetown area sanitary sewer system.
Abstract
This study was o r i g i n a l l y designed to determine where and how i n f i l t r a t i o n was entering the Charlottetown Area Sanitary Sewer System using permanent and portable flow monitoring units. Throughout the course of the study i t was determined that direct inflow through low manhole covers was a major contributor while i n f i l t r a t i o n and delayed inflow were not as s i g n i f i c a n t . From t h is study, problem areas were i d e n t i f i e d and recommendations made for future studies.
