Furthermore, the current model of journalism — based on the concept of objectivity and rooted in a news function — no longer adequately serves its public. It is therefore perhaps ironic that the solution to these problems may be found, in part, in the 2,500-year-old work of Thucydides. But Thucydides, who was far from the objective reporter of the Peloponnesian War many would like him to be, would have a lot to say about our current model of journalism, and his actual intentions for his History may offer a way forward for the journalists of today.text/xmlvii, 116 pageselectronicen-CAhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2The ‘Miserable parent’ and the ‘Luckless tribe’: a Thucydidean approach to journalismmaster thesis2023-03-01Sears, MatthewClassics and Ancient History
