Christie, Derek L.2023-06-072023-06-071997https://unbscholar.lib.unb.ca/handle/1882/35802Three types of lightweight aggregates were tested for water absorption. Two of the aggregates that were made from expanded shale gave distinctly different water absorption rates and the reason for the differences is discussed. The lightweight aggregate made from expanded slag showed significantly lower absorption rates. Which would be a distinct advantage for engineers involved in placing and consolidating lightweight concrete.electronicen-CAhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ecControl of slump loss in lightweight aggregate concretesenior reportBremner, T.W., BremnerCivil Engineering
