Samples of the estuarine subfacies have particular foraminiferal composition reflected in species diversity and relative abundance. Foraminiferal assemblages analysed from the Northumberland Strait core show an environmental change from nearshore to open marine. This change is compatible with the effects of the present Holocene marine transgression.v, 101 pageselectronicen-CAhttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_16ecA study of benthonic foraminifera as environmental indicators with particular reference to species of the Northumberland Strait and Buctouche Estuary, New Brunswicksenior reportVan De Poll, H.R.
