T h i s paper e v a l u a t e s the methods of the 1985 Highway Capacity Manual and TRAF - NETSIM by comparing them with observed delays and L e v e l s of S e r v i c e at a s i g n a l i z e d i n t e r s e c t i o n i n F r e d e r i c t o n. The area of study c o n s i s t s of a s i g n a l i z e d i n t e r s e c t i o n t h a t i s 55m from an u n s i g n a l i z e d T - i n t e r s e c t i o n . T h i s area was chosen in order to examine what e f f e c t this has on the u n s i g n a l i z ed i n t e r s e c t i o n , which i s n o t o r i o u s for long d e l a y s.
