Media G2* is a new alternative method, developed by ADI Limited, to remove manganese from groundwater. Media G2K was efficient at removing manganese from water of moderate manganese concentration, at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min and a Media G2" volume of 28 ml. which resulted in an empty bed contact time of 28 minutes. When the concentration of manganese in the water is reduced to levels around 0.1 mg/L. which is the concentration in natural water, then a faster empty bed contact time of ten minutes can be achieved.
