Throughout the report all up to date work has been compiled and revised. The report consists of Hadfield steel background research, existing polishing and etching techniques, along with what is next for the project. Extensive background research and trial and error testing has presented an approximate solution for polishing and etching Hadfield steel. Current results of polishing and etching are presented in the report. Detailed drawings of the lab equipment being used throughout the polishing and etching process can be viewed in the appendices. A detailed block diagram describing the polishing and etching process has also been developed. Future work will mostly consist of finalizing the developed procedure for polishing and etching Hadfield steel.
