dc.description.abstract | Booty & Cheeba is a creative writing thesis consisting of six interconnected chapters focused on a small-town high school. The set is framed by an adult narrator reflecting on his teenaged past and his relationship to the school in discussion. These reflections on the past are used to emphasize the importance of embracing the present. Through its exploration of high school years, the text investigates the “naïve ambition of youth;” this attitude, characteristic of this stage of adolescence, is one that the thesis ultimately defends and even praises. | |
