An analcime-bearing olivine gabbro (teschenite) sill intrudes Lower Devonian sediments and calcalkaline volcanic rocks of the Dalhousie area, northern New Brunswick. Petrographic examination of the 27 thin sections and 9 whole-rock chemical analyses of samples of the sill indicate that the teschenite formed by two separate injections of magma each of which independently underwent differentiation after emplacement.
