Item Optimum spacing and aliasing problems for VLF surveys(University of New Brunswick, 1985) Allcott, Gerald A.; Burke, K.Profiles for VLF surveys of various simulated field situations were printed by a Timex- Sinclair 1000 personal computer using information from the published model experiments. The profiles were iteratively printed for increments of sample spacing. An analysis then was made of the parameters derived from measurements of the profiles, and the sampling interval at which the loss of information due to aliasing became significant. It was found that one ratio, amplitude รท peak-to trough abcissa distance, controlled predisposition to aliasing. A tabulation was made of the ratio versus maximum sampling interval (Appendix II, Table 1).
