| dc.description.abstract | A laser-induced fluorescence study of ruthenium monoxide was performed using a molecular jet apparatus. High resolution spectra with ~120 MHz linewidths were obtained for the 7 most abundant isotopologues for nRuO (n=104, 102, 101, 100, 99, 98, and 96). The R, Q, and P branches of a total of 12 rovibronic bands were analyzed and fitted to a model using the PGOPHER software package. Vibrational and rotational constants were determined though the fitting. Hyperfine structure was visible for the 99RuO and 101RuO isotopologues because of the nuclear spin I = 5/2 of 99Ru and 101Ru which aided in establishing the electronic configuration of the electronic states. The results are compared to previous work [2] and [3]. | |
