dc.description.abstractThe d e t e r i o r a t i o n of highway b r i d g e s due to d e i c e r s is o c c u r r i n g at a f a s t e r r a t e then f i r s t a n t i c i p a t e d. T h i s paper w i l l analyse the advantages of using a p r e s t r e s s e d t i m b e r t r e a t e d b r i d g e to combat such e f f e c t s.
