dc.description.abstractC a n t i l e v e r s and frames c o n s i s t i n g o f s t e e l bars were l a t e r a l l y l o a d e d and the o u t - o f - p l a n e d e f l e c t i o n was measured. A t e n t a t i v e r e l a t i o n s h i p between o u t - o f - p l a n e d e f l e c t i o n and c a n t i l e v e r beams l e n g t h i s p r o p o s e d . O b s e r v a t i o n s a r e made about t h e e f f e c t of l e n g t h and c r o s s - s e c t i o n a l area on o u t - o f - p l a n e d e f l e c t i o n of frames and c a n t i l e v e r s.
