Cantilevers and frames consisting of steel bars were laterally loaded and the out-of-plane deflection was measured. A tentative relationship between out-of-plane deflection and cantilever beams length is proposed. Observations are made about the effect of length and cross-sectional area on out-of-plane deflection of frames and cantilevers.
