Abstract
The projected increase in water stress in boreal forest ecosystems due to climate change is predicted to alter many phenological responses in trees. To test this prediction, under controlled conditions, I subjected seedlings of six Acadian Forest coniferous species to three drought treatments and documented their survival, height growth and biomass allocation patterns. The drought treatments included early-season drought, late season drought, and a control.
