The incidence of cancer in Canada is quite high and has an enormous impact on the person, with many side effects. Physical activity and physiotherapy are feasible and safe means of addressing these, yet remain lacking in Canada. This qualitative study using an interpretive description approach and the theoretical domains framework as a lens was used to examine what physiotherapists perceive as their roles and the place of physical activity in those with cancer for their care. Studies to date have focused on specialized centers in larger urban areas; however, a significant number of those living with cancer are not necessarily getting their care in those larger centers for the duration of their journey. Understanding the services available to them at any time, in any center in Canada are of importance in order to ensure their journey is as comprehensive and holistic as possible.
